Girls Gone Local is a Toronto nonprofit collective, cultivating community involvement and joy since 2010. Through fun and meaningful charitable activities, we strive to support those who need it most, with 100% of proceeds going to the local causes and diverse base we serve.

Our nonprofit is largely dedicated to helping local families in need. During the holiday season, our FUNdraising efforts amp up to meet the increasing number of Torontonians hit hard by economic strain. Girls Gone Local FUNdraises to ensure holiday season magic for kids and parents alike. The recipients are anonymously and respectfully identified through the TDSB and government social workers.
Girls Gone Local’s primary initiative, Candles & Cake, funds and hosts birthday celebrations for children living in shelters. These parties ensure every child is recognized, the birthday kids are celebrated and their mothers who are escaping violence feel empowered. GGL grew from a collective “work hard, play hard” mindset. This is evident by the way we throw and host our FUNdraising events. At the helm are established Toronto events planners who are part of the GGL community, volunteering their time to bring you FUNdraising events that’ll knock your party socks off.
